BECOMING A TRUE FRIEND

I have been thinking lately... (I know surprise right?!) Seriously though-about how we all can help each other grow and become fortified in life and in the gospel. Friendship is one of the fundamental principles in the gospel (the Teachings of Joseph Smith.) It amazes me every day the importance that friends (and especially family) have in each one of our lives. I see it first hand as I am here trying and helping people become friends in the gospel. In church I see little things that just show the importance of friendship in the gospel. This Sunday Ana was following her mom and the young women all came in to get her to take her to the Young Women's class. Then after church I asked her who are her friends?She was like "All of them are nice, and every Mutual and Sunday I will know them better plus they are all my friends on Facebook!" Awesome! Some little statistics for the need of friendship 1 out of 30 Chilean is a member of the church, 9 out of 10 are in-active. Help someone out, we all can be blessings in the lives of those around us. Always remember that a true friend helps one be strengthened in the Gospel. If you don't know how or where to start find the common ground and go from there. It just happens!

Well fun things that happened this week...not much hahaha! We had to direct transfers at the bus station and we had to wait for 5 hours for one of the sisters that came to my zone. Gotta love traveling by bus. I never recognized the luxury of personally owned cars before my mission. 

I love you all and want you all to know that as we make greater covenants and promises with our Heavenly Father we are endowed with power from on high. The power does not come from the covenants or promises, but the power comes from keeping and fulfilling of that covenant!

This church is true. I have no doubt in my soul because I have received personal confirmation from God. Logically and spiritually this is God's Church upon the face of the earth. Our happiness comes from living the Gospel.
